DANCE RECORDS, a company that has already launched the dance music station Zebra Radio, are launching their first live DJ show in the UK.
The live DJ programme, which is being staged on Friday evening, will feature a range of dance music artists including the likes of Daft Punk, DJ Shadow, and Zebra, along with live performances from DJ Spor, DJ Dahi, and DJ B.I.G.
Zebra will also be able to host live events for their customers to come and join the action, including an all-ages festival on Friday night, as well as the UK’s first live live concert in the US on Saturday night.
The BBC has said that there is “no doubt” that dance music will be big in the next few years.
“It’s not just a genre that has been around for a while, it’s a style and a style is coming.
We’ve got a lot of people coming in and out of this industry, and there’s no doubt that dance will be a big part of the future of music,” BBC DJ David Giesbrecht told the BBC’s Newsnight.”
I’m really excited about it.”
In the UK, there are currently no licensed dance music DJs, and in the States, there have been few licensed dance events in the last year.
The launch of ZebraRadio is part of a wave of new music companies launching their own dance stations, which are expected to continue to grow as the industry matures.
“This is just one more way to make it easier for dance music fans to get into the music industry, as the music business has been very difficult in the past,” Samantha Crouch, founder of Zeta Dance, told TechRadars.
Zebra Radio is available for $4.99 per month, and will feature over 200 DJs on Friday nights.
“It is great to be able offer a range to our listeners, so they can hear everything that is coming out and be part of that future,” Zeta Dance CEO Matt DeAngelis told Techradars.
“As we have seen in the recent past, with the likes DJ Shadow and DJ Spar, it is incredibly exciting to have an opportunity to showcase the latest artists in the industry.”
With Zebra’s live show, the music has been designed with the audience in mind and the audience has been extremely excited.
“ZebraRadio will also feature a live DJ for the weekend, with a range from DJs from Zebra and B.i.g. to DJ Sper, DJ Daft, and other artists.
It is expected that there will be live performances at venues such as Bury St Edmunds in London on Saturday, and at the O2 Academy in Manchester on Sunday, along a line-up of live events including an All-ages Festival.
ZetaRadio has already had some success in the United States, with DJs including Spor and DJ Shadow signing on to the station.”
We are proud to be bringing Zebra radio to the UK,” Matt DeAngelise told TechWeek.”
Our UK listeners are our biggest audience and our audience is growing by the day, and we are delighted to be joining them.
