After his last album, Neil Young’s life became a series of stories.
The first was that he died of cancer in 1986.
The second was that the singer, songwriter and producer had a stroke and was taken off life support.
Then came his first solo album, A Beautiful Mess.
Young’s new album is a celebration of life and love and he talks about how he has found joy and fulfillment in his creative work.
This was the first time that Neil Young was ever interviewed on the podcast.
Young was asked about his life after the accident and how he’s learned to make music.
The interview is available now on the National Review website.
Young says that he has a beautiful wife and four children.
“There’s a lot of work to be done,” he said.
“And there’s a wonderful future ahead of me, and I’m looking forward to it.”
Young also spoke about the challenges of trying to make albums for the next generation.
“If I were to get an email from someone saying, ‘We just saw your last album and we think we have a great idea,’ I’d say, ‘Well, yeah, I think you should just get it out of the way,’ ” Young said.
He went on to talk about the difficulty of trying get people to buy a music product, like the iPods and the streaming services, and to promote the albums.
Young said that when he did a live tour for the album, people would often stop to chat with him.
“They would sit and talk to me and be like, ‘I’m listening to your record.
I love it,’ ” he said of those interactions.
Young went on tour with The Clash and Queen and had the Rolling Stones perform at his home.
Young, who was born in the city of Cork, Ireland, said he spent a lot more time in Ireland than he does in the U.S. in his life.
He says he was born with the accent, the accent is not the only thing he has in common with the people of Ireland.
“I’ve been to a lot places in Ireland and I can tell you that Ireland is not a country that’s easy to travel to,” Young said, adding that he’d been to Dublin more times than he has been in the past.
“When I first moved to Ireland, I went on a tour and I didn’t know the language, I didn, I don’t, I couldn’t communicate with anybody, I was just trying to figure out what I was doing and what I wanted to do,” he continued.
Young spoke about his new album, a tribute to a love he shares with his mother and his father.
The album was recorded at the National Opera House in Dublin and is set to be released on November 10.
