The producers of the popular sci-fi series have joined hands with a bunch of the “Star Wars” and “Iron Man” actors to bring “Star Trek” to the big screen.
Sources close to the project tell EW that the group is working with “StarTrek” creator Gene Roddenberry and “StarWars” creator George Lucas to make “Star War” into a movie.
The Star Trek movie, which will be released in 2019, would be directed by “Star” Trek: J.J. Abrams.
Abrams will produce.
“Starwar” has become one of the most beloved franchises of all time.
Abrams and “Lucasfilm” are behind “Star-Wars” and the upcoming “Star Citizen” video game.
Star Trek creator GeneRoddenbery has said that he is excited about “Starfleet” as a movie project, according to EW.
“I would like to be part of this effort, which I believe could become the best ‘StarWars’ movie of all-time,” he said.
