The SONY Music system is coming to the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.
The company announced the news on its website Monday.
The system, which uses audio and visual cues to determine if an item is a music game or not, will be announced on October 1 at an event that will include a live stream of the announcement.
In the announcement, SONY Entertainment Group CEO John Molyneux said the system will enable users to play music in the most natural way possible and will be the first time that music is a game in a home entertainment system.
“Our goal is to deliver the ultimate music experience for consumers, whether they are gaming on Xbox One or PlayStation 4, whether you’re in the living room, at home, or on a crowded subway platform,” he said.
SONY has not yet announced the system’s price or release date.
It has a six-month lifespan, meaning it will likely be out of stock for months at a time.
The SONICS have long been known for creating the first portable, high-definition audio system.
They’re also known for having one of the best sound systems on the planet, according to their website.
